In craps, we can never predict how the game is going to run. We can only play the way the game is actually running. Do you see the difference? This is a very important distinction. The game can be hot for a few minutes, then suddenly turn cold or choppy the next few minutes. There is no way to predict this.
All we try to do is to play the way the game is actually running when we are at the table. If the game is too erratic, which means overly choppy, we must get out of the game. The only way we can win at craps in the long run is to take full advantage of all hot streaks and all cold streaks, no matter how short or long they are. The longer the better, of course ... but we’ll take the short ones if we can’t get the long ones. All other times we must be able to hold our own.
All the above is the essence of Playing Craps as a Profession. Using these principles is the only way to win at craps consistently. Nothing else will work. The playing strategy can be varied here and there, but not the essence of the method. You must know precisely when to play on the do side, when to play on the don’t side, when to mix the sides, and when to get out.
Everything is important. Just follow our strategy rules and you wlil end up on the side of the game that’s winning. If no side is winning, then just follow the strategy rules telling you when to get out of the game.
